The DET series detectors are compact, versatile high-speed optical detectors. Each model comes complete with a fast PIN photodiode and an internal bias battery packaged in a rugged aluminum housing.

With a wide bandwidth DC-coupled output, these detectors are ideal for monitoring fast-pulsed lasers as well as DC sources. The direct photodiode anode current is provided on a rear panel BNC. This output is easily converted to a positive voltage using a terminating resistor. We recommend a 50§Ł load resistance for fastest response times.

Each DET housing includes a detachable 1" Optic Mount(SM1T1) for installing ND filters, special filters and lenses. The optical head is fully compatible with Thorlabs SM1-series and cage plate accessories. Also available are fiber optic adapters for use with connectorized fiber.

The D400FC is a DC to 1GHz optical-to-electrical converter module. The unit is completely self-contained and is designed as an input module toconvert your electronic test equipment into an optical system. For free space beams, we recommend using our fiber coupling package mounted in a kinematic mount. This combination will allow you to easily couple your free space beam into the D400FC; see the accessories detailed below.
