Using
Piezoelectric Actuators with Melles
Griot Translation Stages
For most applications,
an actuator is mounted opposite from
the micrometer or thumbscrew. The push
block is replaced with a new push block,
clearance drilled with a 12.7 mm hole,
to accommodate the piezo actuator. The
actuator tip should be appropriate for
the push block. Melles Griot translation
stages use ball end drives. Other stages
may be converted by using the appropriate
drive end. Typically, this would be
either an 07 PAA 001 plain end, or 07
PAA 005 ball drive end. Please contact
